We Advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty

Pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation No. 1782 signed by President GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO  in the City of Manila, dated May 21, 2009. Project W.A.T.C.H (We Advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty) is an advocacy program jointly undertaken by JCI Senate Philippines, Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities, PAPSCU, PRISAA, and the Office of the Presidential Assistant for Education, to promote and undertake programs that will instill the value of punctuality and honesty in all sectors of society.

Punctuality

To advocate that all Filipino Citizens must consciously re-instill the value of Time Courtesy and Promptness in all daily activities (Stamp out Filipino Time)

Honesty

To advocate that all Filipino Citizens must inculcate the value of Honesty in all types of dealings starting not only from the young but to all dealings of its adult citizens.

Project W.A.T.C.H. was officially launched on January 11, 2008 at the Ramon Magsaysay High School in Quezon City, led by 2008 JCI Senate National President Carlos Co, PACU President Gonzalo Duque, DepEd Secretary Jesli Lapus, Quezon City Mayor Sonny Belmonte and 2007-2008 JCISP - W.A.T.C.H. Chairman JCI Sen. Cesar Ochoa. ​

Official Launching

On January 11, 2008 Project W.A.T.C.H. was officially launched led by 2007-2008 Chairman JCI Sen. Cesar Ochoa. at the Ramon Magsaysay High School in Quezon City.

W.A.T.C.H. Summit

The first WATCH summit was organized and chaired by JCI Sen. Aggie Angeles at The Teachers Camp, Baguio City

2010
The Outstanding W.A.T.C.H. School

The search for The Outstanding WATCH School was launched in Bayview Hotel in June 2010 chaired by JCI Sen. Leah Santiago

Guidelines on the Establishment of WATCH School

Any public or private or secondary school, rural or urban, sectarian or non-sectarian

A WATCH Club shall be organized under the supervision of Guidance office and the Values Education Department as the moving body in the school

The concept/program particularly the goals and objectives are part of the subjects where there is point of entry. Specifically in Values Education, GMRC, H.E. and others

Updates, information campaign in school bulletin board are available in distinct places of the campus

5

School organs shall have a regular column featuring student, teachers non teaching personnel who are exemplifying Honesty and Time Consciousnes

Involve other sectors like Media, religious, LGU’s for information dissemination and support like availability of resource materials, etc.

The school principal shall include WATCH Program in the inset and regular monthly, and quarterly meetings/conferences;

Conduct of orientation involving GPTCA / GPTA and SGO officers; Alternative Learning System (ALS)

9

Conduct seminar workshop to annexes of the leader schools for multiplier effect (Cluster Schools)

10

Attending regional and divisional forum on WATCH, and share best practices on the implementation of programs and projects

11

Coordinate with GO’s, LGU’s, NGO’s on resourcing to finance participation / attending Seminars and workshops on WATCH

12

Collaborate with RO’s and DO’s on the implementation and in dealing with issues and concerns

13

Attending community assemblies conducted by the barangay where the school is located

14

Organizing core trainers ready to deliver the program in special groups in need of the program

15

A regular monitoring and evaluation shall be conducted by the committee created by the principal, a monthly awardee shall be selected

16

Division Level – a quarterly monitoring and evaluation shall be conducted where they will select a division winner

17

An Annual search shall be conducted. Paper documents shall be validated by the National Committee

Advocacy Training WATCH Club Activities Curriculum Integration
